WINE & GASTRONOMY FAIR, Cambrils, gateway to the country of wine

From 11 to 13 October the Wine and Gastronomy Fair is held in Cambrils in an unbeatable setting such as the Pescador park of Cambrils, a magnificent park that takes place in the maritime district of the town. With different spots, where each one have in common their cuisine and oenology.

Throughout three days we will enjoy the tenth edition of this long-awaited enogastronomic, cultural and fun event in a relaxed and festive atmosphere where we have incorporated this year more novelties such as show cookings, pairings and educational and gastronomic activities.

In this tenth edition you can taste a great variety of excellent wines from the different denominations of origin of the territory (DOQ Priorat, DO Montsant, DO Tarragona, DO Terra Alta, DO Conca de Barberà, DO Cava, DO Catalunya and DO Penedès), where over 25 wineries perfectly pair their best wines, tapas and gastronomic tastings prepared by restaurants and gastronomic establishments in Cambrils.

In this edition of the Wine and Gastronomy Fair, we have also wanted to expand the entertainment on offer and therefore to liven up the evenings there will be different live music groups such as Angel Dust,DJ Rayo, the Cuban group Son La Exclusiva and the Cambrils School of Music that will start the musical performances on Friday at 7.30pm at the park’s gazebo.

And for the film buffs, we have prepared the 2nd Cycle of Enogastronomic Cinema in Cambrils to be viewed, thanks to the collaboration of Rambla de l’Art, specialised in films on the wine and gastronomy culture, to then end with commentary on the film or documentary with a glass of wine or cava amongst the attendees.

As the great family destination that we are, we have also prepared leisure and cultural activities for the younger ones in the family. This year we will have the children’s tent full of things to do along with healthy cooking workshops where the little ones can have fun with the cuisine and wine culture.

On Sunday morning, there will even be the now traditional Castellera Day at 12 noon, at front of the stage in the park with the human towers groups Xiquets de Cambrils, Torraires de Montblanc and Castellers d’Altafulla.

On Sunday evening, as from 18.30h, the park’s stage will host the final of the Vermuting in which 6 restaurants of Cambrils will compete for the best gastronomic proposal made with vermouth as an ingredient and where Vermuts Miró will reward € 1,000 to the best “Vermuting” dish or tapa. A live show cooking will be done for each one of the proposals offered by: Miramar, l’Original Experiències Gastronòmiques, Rincón de Diego, Ches Burger, La Mar del Priorat and Estival Eldorado Resort.

New this year, will be on the Saturday and Sunday at noon at the gazebo of the Park where we will have educational activities of cooking + show cooking  thanks to the Gastronomic Association “Societas Coqvinarias de Cambrils” where they will reveal their best kept secrets of their most highly regarded recipes.
